Ambassador Hershel Walker? Tell Me It Isn’t So!

I was reading posts on the President-Elect’s social media site this morning. I came across an interesting quote from transition team spokesperson Karoline Leavitt, who will serve as White House Press Secretary as of January 20, 2024. Leavitt wrote:

President Trump has assembled the most impressive and qualified team of innovators, entrepreneurs, and geniuses to advise and staff our government.

That is an interesting comment, given the nominees have already been announced. Is it possible to find someone less qualified than Tulsi Gabbard to serve as Director of National Intelligence? And how about Pete Hegseth? Or Kash Patel at the FBI?

On Wednesday morning, Trump trumped his previous nominations. He has tapped former NFL star Hershel Walker to represent the United States in the Bahamas.

I have nothing against Walker as a football player. But when he ran for the U.S. Senate in 2020, America learned about his activities off the gridiron.
