I wrote the piece right after I saw the story about the yellow flight suits. With the benefit of hindsight, I should have waited before assuming the Russian government was somehow (awkwardly) trying to send a message.

For what it’s worth, I still believe the U.S. needs to respond to Russia by cutting off cooperation in space and elsewhere. I see Putin as the equal of Hitler.
