As much as I would like the ouster of McCarthy be the death blow to the GOP, I don't think that will happen.

You are right to worry that Gaetz is in control of the party. I can't help but think that the GOP House caucus could have stopped him--somehow--if they had wanted to. The cowardice of the caucus in the face of MAGA is amazing.
