Celebrating MLK Day With a Drone
I was fortunate to attend this year’s Martin Luther King Day parade in Naples, Florida. The event was a typical small-town parade, with dignitaries riding in convertibles, high school marching bands, and various groups, most of which were celebrating the values championed by Dr. King.
Among the marchers this year was a man who appeared to be walking funny. At first, I wasn’t sure whether he was part of the parade. He looked like he had wandered into the middle of the street and decided to join in. Then I noticed he had something in his hands. Was it a phone? It looked like one, but he wasn’t speaking on it or taking pictures. It had to be something else.
Then I noticed it. He was piloting a drone down the street as part of the parade. It was a small drone, but I saw it.
I snapped a picture. Can you spot the drone?
