Should Cuomo resign while others, accused of worse behavior, remain in office?

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo faces new calls to resign after a third woman, 33 year-old Anna Ruch, complained of unwanted advances that occurred at a 2019 wedding. This time, there is a photo to accompany the complaint, which is bad news for the governor. Speculation is growing that Cuomo will not survive this scandal.

Should he resign? It is not a difficult question for many, but others wonder whether Cuomo’s offensive behavior is comparable to those of other public officials. Presidents Clinton and Trump were accused of worse behavior and remained in office. Brett Kavanaugh was confirmed for the Supreme Court after being accused of rape. And Clarence Thomas was confirmed for the same job after some truly creepy allegations against him.
