Dude, maybe I was naive in predicting the end of the GOP, but the problems I cite remain. And, given the changing demographics of the US and the enhanced political engagement of previously excluded people, the GOP’s future remains doubtful. I clearly was premature in suggesting the party would collapse after a blue wave but stand by my assessment that the party has gone off the rails. The former Republicans I know are not likely to return to the party just because Trump did better than predicted.
