I grew up in a close-in DC suburb--no cornfields or much of anything else other than strip malls. Since I've had a cabin the blue ridge and, now, a house on the Chesapeake Bay, I appreciate the beauty of rural areas, including the farms. I really got engaged with the corn this year.
