I Will Take the Morning Joe Without Scarborough and Mika

My morning coffee would be better without these two egotists

We all have our morning routines, and mine includes watching MSNBC every morning. I watch at least an hour of Morning Joe five days a week but would watch even more hours if the network fired Joe and Mika. I have heard everything they have to say (not hard in the case of Joe because he frequently shouts his points repeatedly) and am not interested in baseball, soccer, or Mika’s work on women’s empowerment.

A rot has infected Morning Joe as the hosts’ power has increased. One senses that Joe and Mika have been given a free hand to do and say whatever they please. They think they know their audience and that by sticking to a leftish agenda and throwing in a little light-hearted banter, they have carte blanche on the air. That approach worked to build a loyal audience but is getting old after 15 years.

Morning Joe viewers can be confident that Jim Jordan, the delightful Lauren Boebert, or the slick Matt Gaetz will not spoil their viewing. That is a blessing. The same cannot be said for Joe and Mika.
