I've heard that collies are great companions. I'm also a big fan of therapy dogs in nursing homes.

Oddly, our doodle gets along with almost every other breed of dog except collies. She cowers when one gets close. I'm not sure what happened before we got her, but it was bad. I don't blame the collie.
