Kari Lake Calls for Violence
Remember the election-denying failed Gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake of Arizona? She is a favorite of Donald Trump, but will not be his running mate. Instead, she is running for the U.S. Senate and calling for political violence in anticipation of Donald Trump losing in November.
For months Kari Lake visited Mar-a-Lago as much as possible. Some said the visits were an effort to be named Trump’s 2024 running mate. But Lake eventually decided to run for the U.S. Senate. Trump has endorsed her, and while some polls show that Democrat Rep. Ruben Gallego is ahead, she could still win in November.
The time Trump spent with Lake wasn’t wasted. Lake has done the impossible — out-MAGAs Trump himself. This week offered proof. In speaking before a group of Mohave County, Arizona, Republicans, she told them:
We need to send people to Washington, D.C., that the swamp does not want there. And I can think of a couple people they don’t want there. First on that list is Donald J. Trump; second is Kari Lake.
