I am aware that gambling on political events is legal in the UK just as it is legal on various events in the U.S. My concern with the court's ruling is that an already fragile electoral system could be further weakened. I support banning the gambling on election outcomes--such as control of the House and Senate--because it turns elections into a spectator sport.

I think democracy in the US needs all the help it can get.
