Thank you for your comment. We are on different pages but I respect your view. I support relief for certain student loan borrowers but did not like the details, the cost, and certain other aspects of the Biden plan.

One detail, in particular, on which we are on different pages. The cost of the program is estimated to be as much as a half-trillion dollars. That is not pocket change.

I also question the legal authority relied on by the president. You may have seen where Pelosi said there was not authority. That was because there is no authority in the Higher Education Act. The president relied on the 2003 Heroes Act, which provided authority to forgive federal debt to individuals who were impacted by 9/11 and other disasters. It was never intended for blanket loan forgiveness.

In any case, I appreciate your view and respect it. I am more than comfortable with your disagreement.
