A good friend of mine made the same point — referencing the Jefferson quote with the implication that the threat to democracy and the Constitution wasn’t as serious as I suggested. I wasn’t convinced and remain very worried.

The Toronto Globe and Mail just ran an editorial expressing worry that the U.S. could be under a dictatorship by 2025.
