I double-checked that Clyburn had suggested a "mini-primary" because I had also heard he was "protecting Harris." As I wrote in the piece, I'm not sure there can be a mini-primary without splitting the party. The Dems need to decide what to do and unify as fast as possible.

I agree with you that Biden could still win. To date, Trump has been lucky as well as ruthless. I'd like to see some luck go the other way and help the Democrats.

Trump is saying a lot of crazy stuff. Hopefully he will cross the line and alienate independent voters once they realize he is as bad as Democrats already know he is.
